Big Fish

Can't say enough good things about this movie. I'd have to revise my "Best of 2003" list to include this one in there. Perfectly cast and visually stunning, this is a fantastic movie that works on so many levels it's amazing.

For those unfamiliar with the plot, Big Fish is about a dying old man (Albert Finney) who tells tales larger than life regarding his life as a young man. His son (Billy Crudup) returns home after years of estragement to reconcile with the father and to get to find out the truth behind his father's tall tales.

Everybody in the film does an excellent job. Huge props go to Ewan McGregor, who has never been better IMO. Check it out in wide release Jan 9.

saw this Sat night. I thought it was a good movie as well.

Question though, what did Jennifer (Helena Bonham Carter) mean when she was talking to the son - something about she was the witch even though his father was young at the time - She said something like "But your and your father's perception was wrong." Or something to that effect. I got confused at that comment.
