I have only been following the Cards since I moved here about 15 years ago, but I think this will be the most "different-looking" team, from one season to the next, that I have experienced.

Have we ever had a shake-up like this year, even when new coaches came?

As much as I am lamenting A-dub moving on, I am "cautiously excited"...

I feel like with Denny came in, he cleaned house. Or maybe that was just Kendall??? Can't remember anymore.

Not really the same.

Denny can into an empty garage, but BA and Keim cleaned out a full one.

I'm just remembering the change in faces on the team from one year to the next was pretty dramatic back then. I agree this year is a whole different kind of change.

Didn`t like the Rhodes cut.Don`t have a problem with cutting Beanie,Kolb,Wilson,Bradley on the fence with cutting William Gay.So its not like BA and Keim dismantled the 72 Dolphins.Team was still 5-11 and the so called great defense was bad versus the run. That helped the pass defense because everybody stuffed the ball down the Cards throats .So Cards aren`t breaking up the fearsome foursome or even the orange crush.

Most recent was 2010. Warner and Berry retired. Leinart, Dansby, Boldin, Rolle, Okeafor, Gandy, Reggie Wells and Bryant McFadden all left.

You could go back to that time period and find almost the exact same debates we are having now. The Cards as you know went 18-30 the next three years. That's why I'm not real optimistic about the near future.

Well then there's the fact that I don't want to jinx them. :D

This. They were decent on D. But teams got leads and pounded us.

Bowles needs his S's to be real good center fielders and ball hawks. I think we'll see a rookie drafted as well. No need to overspend there.

How many times did I bring that up last season and have posters tell me it wasn't a problem! Now almost everybody is using it as a rationalization. Just ahead of my time I guess.

Where did Okeafor and Gandy go?

They were released or not re signed couldn't get another gig and were involuntarily retired.

As opposed to Warner and Berry who retired voluntarily.
