Big Ten sucks. overrated in every sport. I will freak if they get more bids than the Big East.

Current Bracketology has:

Big Ten seeds:
(2) MSU
(5) Ill
(5) Purdue
(9) Wisc
(10) tOSU
(11) Minn
(11) Mich
(12) PSU

Avg seed 8.1

Big East seeds:
(1) Pitt
(1) UConn
(1) UL
(3) Vill
(6) 'cuse
(7) WV
(7) Marquette

Avg seed 3.7

Providence can play their way in and PSU can play their way out. Still looks like the Big East is the dominant conference.

Side note: ACC has an avg seed of 4.2 (6 teams), Big 12 5.5 (6 teams), and Pac 10 6.4 (5 teams).

Over/Under of those 8 Big Televen teams making it to the second weekend at 2.5.

Good analysis, DWKB

The Big East is very top heavy this year, with a lot of LOUSY teams.

The Big 10 has three good teams, and 6 or so decent teams.

I don't see the Big East getting 3 #1 seeds though

top heavy? no way.

I think Syracuse is bolded cause I clicked on it, but that is not a top heavy league. Yes, it has some bad teams in DePaul, Rutgers, and USF. But even at the bottom of the Big East, Georgetown is not a bad team at all.

Georgetown of first part of the season, yes. Then they imploded, and couldn't beat a high school team.

And yes, Big East is top heavy

You know it's a very, very down year in college basketball when teams like Illinois and Purdue are considered good. But I guess you have to consider them as such compared to everybody else but there is a huge talent vacuum in college hoops right now.

And can we stop including Marquette as someone's worth a damn without Dominic James? Every team that has a shot at the Tournament is praying for that first round matchup. After Villanova the Big East ain't that special.

Crappy DePaul beats Cincy in first round of Big East tourney. So much for using Cincy as a quality team....

DePaul lost to Northwestern by 27.

I don't see the Big Ten getting any more than 5 in right now. I have the Big East getting 7 in. I have The Big 12 with 6 in.

So who's replacing those 3 Big Televen teams? Butler would be one I assume.
Difficult question to answer, but I do have Butler in. I've got them as a 7th seed. My last 4 in would be: Tulsa, New Mexico, Creighton, and Dayton.

I'm asking more in comparison to Lunardi. He's got Butler, New Mexico, and Dayton already in the tournament.

So you're replacing Penn St, Michigan, and Minnesota with Creighton, Team X, and Tulsa(?!?!?).

Tulsa would have to win the C-USA tournament to get a shot at the NCAA.

Very possible and as for Tulsa, I see C-USA getting 2 in. :grabs:
Out of those three tho, I'd give Minnesota the best shot at getting in.
