Real Madrid are ready to sell Fran García and Ferland Mendy this summer and the Spanish left-back is drawing interest from Betis, according to a report from AS.
Los Blancos just signed Marc Cucurella, which means that they currently have four left-backs on their roster. Mendy’s contract and inability to stay healthy means that Madrid will likely be forced to keep him, with Álvaro Carreras being the backup left-back behind Cucurella in the rotation unless Los Blancos can find a right deal for him.
Either way, Real Madrid will explore both options. If they can sell Carreras, Fran García would be Cucurella’s backup when Mendy isn’t available. However, if the offers for Carreras aren’t good enough just a summer after Madrid spent €50 million to sign him away from Benfica, Fran García will be sold.
