The New England Patriots got tested by an elite Los Angeles Chargers defense on Sunday and passed with flying colors in a 16-3 wild-card playoff win.
This wasn't the typical offensive onslaught we've grown accustomed to seeing from the Patriots this season. They weren't facing the Miami Dolphins or New York Jets. This was a head-to-head battle against a top-10 defense with the season on the line.
And they came out on top.
Granted, it wasn't a pretty performance by any stretch of the imagination. Patriots quarterback Drake Maye had two turnovers. It very easily could have been three if rookie guard Jared Wilson didn't recover a near strip sack fumble in the fourth quarter.
But minus the turnovers, Maye showed poise in a game filled with adversity and made enough plays when the team needed them. He went 17-of-29 passing for 268 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson was also a standout on offense in a game where he rushed for 53 yards and also led the team in receiving with three catches for 75 yards.
Here are the best and worst graded offensive players for the Patriots in Sunday's wild-card playoff game, according to Pro Football Focus.
