The Cincinnati Bengals addressed the offense again with their sixth and final pick in the 2025 NFL draft, selecting Texas Tech running back Tahj Brooks at No. 193 overall.
Brooks, a five-year player for the Red Raiders, ran for 1,505 yards and 17 scores last season on a 5.3 per-carry average, his second straight season over the 1,500-yard mark as a rusher. He also caught 28 passes through the air.
It felt inevitable the Bengals would add a running back during or right after the draft. Zack Moss is on his way back to compete with Samaje Perine for the main backup role behind Chase Brown.
Brooks boosts the depth behind those two names, if not has what it takes to battle for that No. 2 spot, too.
