Cincinnati Bengals great Willie Anderson had nothing but good things to say despite his latest Hall of Fame snub.
Anderson, snubbed in his 13th year of eligibility and automatically a finalist again next year based on his number of votes, issued a positive message and a plea to the Hall itself.
First, Anderson’s message after the miss:
"Once again I say this every year Congratulations to the men who made it to The Pro football Hall of fame tonight. All of us who wait for our call Have no ill will towards our brothers who have made it to Football Immortality! Salute you great men and GOD bless all who cheered me on and Thanks for the Prayers! We’ll keep pushing on!!"
Very notable too, though, is Anderson’s appeal to how the Hall of Fame actually does things.

On this topic, Anderson said the following:
The Pro Football Hall of Fame has since announced it will return to in-person voting and consider changes. Whether they're meaningful enough to stop artifically delaying entry and creating logjams for greats like Anderson (never mind something as egregious as omitting Bill Belichick on his first attempt) remains to be seen.
