Anyone who saw the Cincinnati Bengals’ loss to the Buffalo Bills might’ve had a feeling this one was coming.

According to Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, wide receiver Tee Higgins will enter concussion protocol.

Higgins reported concussion symptoms Sunday night and into Monday morning, causing the Bengals to place him back into concussion protocol.

During the loss to the Bills, Higgins left the game not once, but twice, after striking his head on the turf. Taylor and others said he passed testing both times in order to re-enter the game. He finished with six catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

Higgins had just cleared concussion protocol after missing Week 13 with a concussion. Now, his status for the rematch with the Baltimore Ravens very much remains in question.

Higgins' repeated injury scares Sunday earned immense coverage nationally before this new development.
