The Cincinnati Bengals might not be working on a contract restructure with Joe Burrow.
But Burrow’s working on some interesting things for next season.
A good example? Burrow is currently weighing whether to keep the carbon fiber plate in his cleat next year after getting used to it last season.
"It's like, why not?" Burrow asked, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. "It won't be as stiff. We'll see where that goes. I'm trying a lot of different things out right now to see what works best for me." …
Burrow unexpectedly returned from a turf toe injury last year and did so with a plate in his cleat. He didn’t have full mobility at the time, but the device was intended to protect the injury.
Looking ahead, if Burrow is used to the feature now and doesn’t think it will impact his game in a negative way, there’s really no reason to remove it, right?
