Jan. 13—LAFAYETTE, Colo. — At the girls U18 Curling Nationals in Lafayette, Colorado, the championship match came down to two Minnesota teams.
Team Johnson, based out of the Four Seasons Curling Club in Blaine, faced off against Bemidji's own Team Berg, based out of the Bemidji Curling Club. Although it was a tight contest, Team Berg walked away with silver medals after Team Johnson won the match 7-5 on Sunday.
It was Team Berg's first loss of the weekend. In pool play, it went a perfect 5-0 on their way to the championship.
Team Berg consists of Nia Berg, Ella Willford, Solveig Berg and Carol Chance. They are coached by Jeremy Berg.
