People still watch baseball, and that sport is completely unwatchable.

I was a baseball fanatic at one time, now I barely watch a game and then only a few innings.

I have to believe having multiple games during the week poses a greater injury risk than an extra game on the schedule. One game on Thursday was bad but now we are rolling with games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday late in the season

It's very off topic but baseball is a vastly superior watching experience now with the pitch clock, the batter clock and the limits on disengagement than it was prior to those rules being put in place.
