Agreed. That's what people are missing in this argument IMO. "Just expand the roster". Okay, but are those players going to be counted on to pick up the slack for your starters? No one is coming to see 2 games of a Will Shipley get the lion's share of carries when Saquon is on the bench "resting". Subbing players in football is much different than other sports due to the smaller amount of games. The QB is still expected to play every game as well.

Teams and players will adapt, the owners will get richer and the fan support won't change. NFL football rules, that is a fact and they are far and away the most popular sport in the USA. To me the problem isn’t game quality. I’m afraid some player will be damaged for a lifetime. Don’t forget they’ll being playing more college games as well.
