When Isaac Ambrose from the Champaign Room, a SB Nation sister site dedicated to Illinois, asked us to help preview next season’s visit from Illinois, we knew just who to ask to help them out.
Scott Rich is well-versed in the Big Ten and we knew that he would be the guy to talk to them about this.
Duke and Illinois are building some interesting history. The last time out of course, a Cooper Flagg-Kon Knueppel led Duke team just devastated Illinois in Madison Square Garden. Our guess is that the Illini fans have not forgotten that humiliation, because they were utterly crushed.
Even though November’s game will be in Cameron, we probably won’t see that sort of a beatdown this time. Illinois is loaded, and also well coached.
This one is going to be spectacular. You won’t want to miss it. You won’t want to miss the conversation about it, either.
