The Chicago Bears will be must-see television this upcoming season, where they're slated to play in seven standalone games, including both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day against divisional opponents. But there's a special surprise in time for the holidays.
According to CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones, the Bears will wear their new Rivalries uniforms (which have yet to be revealed) during their Christmas home game against the Green Bay Packers. The NFL introduced these new Rivalries uniforms last season, where the AFC North and NFC West each donned them for a respective divisional game.
“Nike has a rich history with football, and we’re excited to partner with the NFL on this new Rivalries program to help grow the sport and expand it for the next generation,” Ryan Airhart, Director, NFL Apparel Product Design at Nike said last year. “Each uniform was designed in collaboration with the club it represents to authentically reflect what makes their team, fans and communities wholly unique.”
Last year, the Rivalries uniforms were unveiled in late August just before the start of the regular season, so we have a little time getting a glimpse at this special jersey for the Bears.
