SPRINGFIELD–For the second game in-a-row, the Missouri State offense scored double digit runs off Middle Tennessee State, which helped the Bears take Sunday’s series finale and earn a sweep in their first conference series at home.

The two teams combined for 19 runs, on Sunday, but it was MO State’s 3-run outburst in the 7th-inning that propelled it to a 10-9 victory.

Bryce Cerminelle and Taeg Gollert hit the only long balls of the game for MSU, while MTSU cracked three home runs.

Missouri State will rest up Monday in preparation for their midweek game with Oklahoma State, at Hammons Field, on Tuesday.
