Bayern Munich now have four games scheduled in the remainder of the 2025/26 season – two Bundesliga games, the DFB-Pokal final, and the Champions League semifinal second leg – with the number set to increase if Bayern defeat Paris Saint-Germain to reach the Champions League final. There are still a few weeks to go, but Bayern decided to release their new home kit for the following season on Monday.

This is home. This is FC Bayern. ❤️

As previous leaks have confirmed, the new kit is classic red with dark red pinstripes running down the front of the shirt. The collar of the shirt is lined with gold, and it sports the characteristic thick three stripes that Adidas has gone for in their most recent wave of shirts. The shirt has been getting positive feedback, the first time in a long while that the reactions to the home shirt have been mostly positive.

The new Bayern home shirt is normally debuted in the last home game of the season, but this year, the club made an unorthodox decision to debut it in the penultimate home game of the season, which is the team’s next match against PSG in the Champions League. The last time that the new home shirt was debuted early on was back in 2020, when the 2020/21 home shirt was first worn in the DFB-Pokal semifinal against Eintracht Frankfurt. Bayern wore the new home shirt in all of their remaining games of the season, except the Champions League quarterfinal against FC Barcelona. It is therefore reasonable to assume that the team will do the same in the remaining four to five games of this season, although the only remaining away fixture against VfL Wolfsburg could be an exception.

Another notable feature of the shirt is that fans can add a gold chest patch featuring the now famous “Meister-Kakadu,” the porcelain cockatoo that has accompanied the team’s celebrations since last year. The shirt (along with the patch) is currently available in the Bayern online store. It is unknown whether the patch will be worn in an official match, though.
