Bayern Munich has apparently made its stance on João Palhinha very clear — the midfielder will not leave the club on another loan assignment.

According to Tz journalist Mano Bonke (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich has rejected an offer from Aston Villa to take Palhinha on loan. The club is demanding a permanent transfer instead and does not appear interested in another temporary arrangement.

Palhinha, meanwhile, reportedly wants the move to Aston Villa. That puts the focus squarely on the Premier League club to improve its proposal if it wants to get the deal over the line.

For Bayern Munich, the logic is straightforward. Palhinha arrived with significant expectations, but his time in Munich has not gone according to plan. After spending last season on loan, another temporary move would simply delay the decision the club appears ready to make.

Bayern Munich wants to move on permanently.

Now Aston Villa has to decide whether Palhinha is worth making the kind of investment necessary to make that happen.
