Bayern Munich is widely known to be targeting Givairo Read and appear to be favorites to sign the Dutchman. That doesn’t mean they’re stopping there, because the Bavarians are after a promising lad straight out of Paris Saint-Germain.

According to a report by L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia), Bayern and Bayer Leverkusen are in talks to sign PSG youth defender Emmanuel Mbemba, a soon-to-be-18-year-old defender who can play in the left side of the defense (centrally and out wide). Mbemba’s deal with the Parisians expires in the summer, and the French club has yet to convince him to sign a new professional contract. It’s now up to the player to decide; Bayern are currently the favorites to secure the player’s signing.

Despite the extension of Dayot Upamecano and the apparent crowding in the CB department, Bayern still wants the next big thing before anyone else knows about him.
