Coastal Carolina junior infielder Trace Mazon, who split time at designated hitter, first base and left field during the 2026 season, is transferring to TCU. The Aledo, Texas native slashed .359/.413/.550 while totaling 47 hits, nine doubles, two triples, four home runs and 31 RBIs. Mazon appeared in 36 games and made 31 starts, stealing six bases and scoring 24 runs. His collegiate career started at Weatherford College, where he was named an All- NTJCAC selection twice. He was a Second Team pick as a freshman and a First Team pick as a sophomore.
At Aledo, Mazon was named Second-Team All-District in 2022 and selected to the Texas All-State All-Star Game in 2023. He posted a .467 batting average and .711 slugging percantage in 2023, earning All-District 5A MVP. At the JUCO level, Mazon batted .339 with 64 hits and 21 doubles in 55 games as a freshman. The following year, he batted .365 and posted a .668 slugging rate with 15 home runs, 76 hits, 62 RBIs and 14 stolen bases.
