Against Athletic Club, Pedri played a pivotal role in the second half, despite not being in top physical shape. The young Spaniard delivered a pinpoint pass to Lamine Yamal, enabling the winger to finish with a shot into the top corner and score the only goal of the match.
After the match (0-1), Pedri emphasized the team effort required for that goal. "Without Fermín's movement, Lamine's goal wouldn't have been possible," Pedri revealed, before praising his teammate's finishing: "He then put it right into the top corner."
Pedri made a point to encourage Lamine Yamal to keep improving. "What Lamine needs to do is not settle for less. He's still very young and can only get better. He must keep working hard and enjoying himself on the pitch," said the Canary Islander.
