Baltimore Ravens Have 4 Players Ranked in PFN's Top 70 Players, Led by Lamar Jackson

You won’t find anyone better than Lamar Jackson on the Baltimore Ravens. After all, two-time NFL MVPs don’t grow on trees.

The three-time All-Pro’s play wasn’t quite up to his standard last season. Yet, he was still one of the best players in football.

Recently, Pro Football Network revealed its own spin on the NFL’s Top 100 players list. To no surprise, Jackson made the team, but which of his Ravens teammates joined him?

The Ravens may not have reached the playoffs last season, which is likely a big reason why the team moved on from head coach John Harbaugh, but they still had four of the NFL’s very best players.

Jackson came in ranked No. 2 in the entire NFL, only behind Buffalo’s Josh Allen, and just ahead of edge rusher Myles Garrett. Despite playing in just 13 out of a potential 17 games last season and not earning any Pro Bowl or All-Pro accolades, PFN still ranked Jackson among the NFL’s elite.

“Don’t let last year’s injury-plagued season fool you,” Jason Katz wrote. “Lamar Jackson remains the league’s premier dual-threat QB.”

As for the others? The Ravens’ next player, running back Derrick Henry, came in ranked at No. 36. He ranked as the second-best back in the NFL. While he’s set to turn 33 this season, Henry has shown “no signs of slowing down.”

Next up was safety Kyle Hamilton, who ranked 52nd out of 100 players. PFN has Hamilton ranked as the NFL’s third-best safety. The two-time First-Team All-Pro is coming off a season in which he posted the lowest missed-tackle rate of his four-year career and, at 25, could still have room for growth.

Baltimore then had Zay Flowers coming in at No. 69, or eighth among receivers. Coming off his second consecutive Pro Bowl nod, Flowers’ arrow is pointing straight up. PFN believes he’s not just a good pass-catcher, but that he deserves to be in the conversation among the 10 best receivers in football.

Add it all up, and the Ravens have four players ranking not just in the top 100, but in the best 70 players across the NFL. If first-year head coach Jesse Minter can make an impact, chances are the Ravens can do even better on this list next season.

There was a time when players like Ronnie Stanley or Mark Andrews would have earned a spot, but that wasn’t the case this time around. Others, such as Nnamdi Madubuike, could possibly earn their way back too, but he’ll also need to return to full health first.

Otherwise, up-and-comers like Nate Wiggins or Malaki Starks could take the next step in their development while mastering their new role in coach Minter’s defense too. The Ravens have talent throughout this roster on both sides of the ball; now it’s just a matter of the coaching staff helping them reach their full potential.
