Sis Paulsen’s impact on Wisconsin women’s hockey will take center stage Sept. 18 when she joins the Wisconsin Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026. Wisconsin will induct a total of 12 athletes, staff, and supporters across nine sports that weekend, then honor the class during the Badgers’ matchup with Eastern Michigan on Sept. 19 at Camp Randall Stadium.

Paulsen helped set the standard in the program’s early era from 1999 to 2003. A team captain and First-Team All-WCHA selection, she also finished her career among the program’s top-scoring defensemen, a reminder of how much Wisconsin asked of its blue-liners as the sport grew and the Badgers built their identity.

Her Hall of Fame case extends well beyond her playing days. Paulsen returned to the program as an equipment manager and contributed to three national championship teams, giving her a rare connection to Wisconsin’s rise from conference contender to national power both on the ice and behind the scenes.

The September weekend offers Badgers fans a chance to celebrate a figure who bridged eras inside the program, from the early WCHA years to championship runs that defined Wisconsin women’s hockey. Wisconsin will announce more details around the Hall of Fame weekend ahead of the Sept. 19 game against Eastern Michigan at Camp Randall.
