The Texas Longhorns football program is preparing for one of the most anticipated seasons in recent memory. Arch Manning seemed to hit his stride at the right time toward the end of last year, and there have been some key transfer portal additions.

Despite looking forward to what's about to happen, the Longhorns are setting records in the classroom. The team posted a 3.36 composite GPA last semester, which is a program record.

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian has been one of the only coaches in college football sticking to academics and athletics amid the NIL era. His hard work is paying off as he celebrated the accomplishment of social media this week.

Sarkisian admitted the Longhorns collective GPA was 2.33 when Tom Herman was coaching before he arrived in Austin. What a quick turnaround in five years to have success both on and off the field. Needless to say, Sark's system is working to the max.
