Auburn women's tennis defeats Vanderbilt 4-0 and claims the SEC Championship for the 2026 regular season.

It marks the first time that Auburn has won the SEC regular season title. The Tigers did it by sweeping Vanderbilt 4-0 on Sunday, Apr. 12. The Tigers' No. 3 doubles, Ashton Bowers and Ekaterina Khairutdinova, collected their 24th win this spring, beating the Commodores 6-3. For the top of the doubles lineup, Auburn's DJ Bennett and Ava Esposito fought back in their matchup and pulled out the win in a tie-break deciding match.

No. 1 singles Bennett won her match in dominating fashion, 6-2, 6-1, giving the Tigers a 3-0 lead over the Commodores. She is currently ranked No. 6 in the nation in singles play. Auburn's No. 2 singles Khairutdinova, capped everything off with a solid 6-2, 6-4 win.

The Tigers will be the three seed headed into the 2026 SEC Championship tournament in Norman, Oklahoma, at the Headington Family Tennis Center. Auburn is in a three-way tie in the SEC standings with a 13-2 in SEC play. The Tigers will begin their tournament play in quarterfinals on Friday, Apr. 17, at 9 a.m. CT.
