AUBURN — For the first time under head coach Alex Golesh, Auburn football will kick off at Jordan-Hare Stadium, as the Tigers will play their annual A-Day spring game Saturday, April 18 (2 p.m. CT).

It marks a midway point for Golesh's offseason on the Plains, with the game signifying the Tigers' 15th practice after months filled with roster movement that saw the program add 40 transfers and see nearly as many depart.

"We need it for us to take the next step," Golesh said of A-Day. "We need some crowd noise, we need distraction. We need things going for us to be able to actually get a full live rep at it. If the fans consider themselves part of us taking another step, that would be huge, but I think it'll just be a fun day, man. It's football in the spring in Auburn, Alabama. What the hell else do you want, you know?"

As today's action gets underway, stay tuned here for the Montgomery Advertiser's latest A-Day updates from Jordan-Hare Stadium.
