The Atlanta Falcons agreed to trade for offensive tackle Wanya Morris on Thursday, sending a sixth-round pick in 2027 to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for Morris and 2027 seventh-round selection. It was a low-risk move for the Falcons, who suddenly found themselves short on offensive tackle depth.

The team placed swing tackle Storm Norton (ankle) on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, meaning the veteran will miss the entire 2026 NFL season.

Norton missed all of the team's 2025 campaign with an ankle injury as well. Atlanta acquired Morris to fill in for Norton, and possibly compete for the starting right tackle job with his former Chiefs teammate, Jawaan Taylor.
