The release of fall players to watch lists calls for readers to place their bets. First, who do you think is going to be the softball player of the year?
Below are the nominees, which have been directly taken from the preseason all-area team list that went out Tuesday, July 21. All players were hand-picked by the coaches.
Preseason: Here are 74 Athens-area high school softball players to watch in 2026
The poll will be open until Wednesday, July 29, at 5 p.m. and the winner will be announced on Monday, Aug. 10.
