Thank You Paul!
Interesting season this year. A lot of injuries and tough moments, but Kenzie Brown continues to be really good and this team just battles and has a really good vibe around it right now
They had to finish strong to even make the BigXII tournament, then took the difficult path and won the BigXII tournament with wins over Arizona, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech in the title game
It's been an unsettled couple of years - there was definitely an exodus and she struggles after the change, but a lot of attention on program and community - the good got better, but the talent and depth wasn't there
You start thinking of it's just going to be a feeder program at it's best, are they going to fall behind GCU locally, is the program just out of range for being competitive
This year and this finish gives hope. Yes, you need someone strong in the circle - ASU can get that someone, get more than one year out of them, graduate them and send them to the pros.
This team is smaller in player size than many I can remember, but they work well together.
They don't always play clean or make things easy, but they are very capable
In a bit of a moment, they ended up in college station for the regionals. Win yesterday to play A&M today and came from 1 down in the 7th to win by 1.
A win in their stadium, that despite their ball whatever chant was carried in atmosphere by the traveling ASU fans - even when they'd play that organ prompt it was meet with "let's-go-dev-ils"
Even if they lose 2 tomorrow and don't make it through, there had been life breathed back into this program
However, it would be incredibly sweet to end A&Ms season, in their stadium after the impact they kicked off 4 years ago
