Yep.
Outright with the series win over UW.
They've had a really good year. Manny expected them to fall back, especially with UCLA and UW series to close and they won both
I try and get to a game with my daughter every year. They area blast.
Last year with COVID we went as a family to the regional final, but unfortunately ASU got bounced.
Would love to go again this year. ASU will have to be a host site.
Would love to see them in line for a super regional if they advance, but not sure if facilities come into play with that

Wasn't sure on capacities. Farrington doesn't feel huge and some of the other schools look much larger then they actually are.
Just looked it up and capacity is in line with most major programs, save a few outliers like Alabama.
2019 I took my daughter to their open practice today included a facilities tour - they've finished the hitting area and some other detail since then, but were good on the interior stuff

Fun day at Farrington.
Really well rounded team.
Had a couple down moments, but overcame them and they more they see a team the better they play them

Lost in 11.
Built a 3-0 lead with 3 solo shots. Gave it back with a 2 run HR in the 6th and a solo shot in the 7th.
Had multiple opportunities to win. Runners at 2nd with 1 out, runner at 3rd, bases loaded - just couldn't convert
Northwestern has a couple chances as well, but robbed at the fence and then a great defensive effort by 3B to get a double play
Ultimately, ASU made some mistakes that bit them
Northwestern pitcher thew a great game, wicked change up and kept ASU off balance. Travelled in from IL and pitched all 11 on a 100 degree start
Home plate ump was painful and I hope she is off home tomorrow
Game went 4 hours and maybe broke my wife

Still need the portal to be kind and for pitching to develop. Not a senior laden team for sure.
Had the series in their hands multiple times, but couldn't close - mentality will need to shift.
This may be the experience that helps get them there

Unfortunately it’s beyond time to recognize that ASU never has been, nor never will be a primetime sports school. They had a nice run with a third tier sport (baseball) a smattering of success with football a LONG time ago, and general mediocrity otherwise.

Next hire will be important. With the portal things could shift real quick.
Ford did a nice job building structure and I can see when TAM would want her
People look at the football side of TX & OK going SEC, for good reason
Look at the WCWS championship series and also see how big it is for softball
TAM has a lot of resource, but not much of a program currently
