Randy Bennett is going to get the first phone call. Derek Glasser who's now an assistant at UCSD, will also be considered

Former ASU player, Derek Glasser, should be a prime candidate for the ASU head coaching job.

I'm hearing Jerrod Calhoun is being thrown into the vetting as well.

This is a very good list and I bet ASU’s next coach is in here

Question that he and Bennett have to answer is that is it worth leaving a fringe top-25 job to be in a P4 conference school that doesn’t value hoops?

Gambo (take him however you will) did a "Gambo 5" of the guys he is guaranteeing we will hire:

Randy Bennett
Jerrod Calhoun
Jase Coburn
Eric Olen
Josh Schertz

He ruled out Glasser outright. I don't know much about him but I wouldn't be that shocked to see it be Coburn. Local guy that is an ASU alum and has worked his way up and won where he's been. Most articles say he would be the basketball version of Dilly, and the program could use a little of that I think.

It's just a matter of if he could do it at this level, in this conference.

PHNX boys are saying that Glasser is very much a candidate for the position.

Will be fun to see who has the better inside info on this one.

ASU is never going to take the next step doing more of the same. I agree with Jon. Get a new venue built, bring in a ton of sponsor dollars, excite the boosters and try and take the program to the next level. If there ever was a time to do it? It's now being in a new conference.
