I try to temper my enthusiasm about ASU baseball but it's beginning to look encouraging.

Far too young. I attended a lot of his college games and became a Braves fan when they drafted him. Fortunately I had just signed up for a pre-cable movie channel that included the Braves day games - they switched from TBS programming during the day to a premium movie channel in the evenings so I got to watch a lot of MLB games back when that was rare for those of us living in the Valley. RIP Bob.

Well, that's that. Two extra innings losses to Ole Miss and our season is done. Both games against Miss, our bats just went ice cold in the later innings.

Do we think Willie is sticking around for one more year? Based on how we handled Bobby, I'd say yes. I wouldn't be surprised if he's given the year and it's Omaha or bust.

He doesn’t need to make Omaha. Continued improvement year over year with record and in conference. Making a super regional gets him an extension

A warning was probably warranted from the umps there but what Hairston did was stupidity and it potentially hurt the team. He was slumping for a bit so it may not have affected the outcome but we’ll never know.

It's hard to get invested in ASU baseball when they keep meeting my low expectations.

Sorry but you have to accept it will likely never be anywhere near where they were. Omaha is possible but it is so difficult when you are living in the portal every year. The goal should really be super regional and then you have a shot

NIL and transfer portal just kills teams outside the SEC. The SP for Mississippi that started the Sunday night game came from Orange Country CA. This kid went to Mississippi!! 30 even 15 years ago that kid doesn’t get past Austin let alone to Austin. Kole Klecker was from Cave Creek and went to TCU. Local teams lose these high level high school players where they rarely did previously.
