Another day of minor league baseball is in the books. See the results below.

AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (37-44) lost 6-2 (BOX SCORE)


Pecko started for Sugar Land and was pitching well but ran into some trouble in the 5th. He ended up going 5 innings allowing 6 runs. The offense got on the board in the 6th inning on a Whitcomb solo home run. They got another run in the 8th on a Biggio solo home run. That was it from the offense though as Sugar Land fell 6-2.

Note: Biggio has a .857 OPS this season.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (35-40) won 8-3 (BOX SCORE)


The Hooks jumped out to an early lead scoring 4 runs in the first inning on a Sullivan RBI single and Bush 3 run home run. Nezuh started for the Hooks and was really good allowing 1 run over 7 innings while striking out 5. The offense got some insurance in the 8th scoring 4 runs on an Austin RBI single, Sullivan 2 run double and Bush RBI single. The pen allowed a couple runs but the offense did more than enough as the Hooks won 8-3.

Note: Nezuh has 69 K over 60.1 innings this season.


A+: Asheville Tourists (23-52) won 10-8 (BOX SCORE)


Asheville got on the board in the 2nd inning on an error. Hub City would rally scoring 6 runs off Rodriguez as he went 5 innings. Asheville got another run in the third on a Call RBI double and another in the 4th on a Moss solo home run. In the 5th, the offense rallied for 5 runs on a Powell 2 run home run, Call RBI double and Garcia 2 run double. They got another run in the 6th on a Call Rbi single. The pen allowed a couple of runs but Call added another RBI single in the 8th. Frias closed it out with a scoreless 9th as Asheville won 10-8.

Note: Moss is hitting .366 in High-A.


A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (37-38) lost 5-4 (BOX SCORE)


Forcucci started for the Woodpeckers but had some struggles allowing 2 runs over 1.1 innings while walking 3. After Varela allowed a run in relief, Fraide went 5 innings out of the pen allowing 2 unearned runs and striking out 7 batters. The offense got on the board in the 8th inning on an Alvarez RBI double. In the 9th, the Woodpeckers rallied for 3 runs on an Alvarez 3 run double but that was it from the offense as the Woodpeckers fell 5-4.

Note: Neyens finished June with 31 walks to 23 strikeouts.
