Aston Villa star returns to action but Emery handed triple injury worry
Summer signings Johan Manzambi and Alejandro Garnacho, as well as John McGinn, are injury worries for Aston Villa.
Manzambi, who joined Villa from Freiburg earlier this summer, was not involved in Villa’s friendly win over BG Pathum United and is set for a few weeks out.
Garnacho, meanwhile, was forced off in the game after suffering a facial injury, while McGinn also had to be taken off with a knee problem.
But in more positive news for Villa, Boubacar Kamara made his long awaited return to first-team action following a serious knee injury which has kept him out since January.
“It feels good to be back,” the Frenchman told VillaTV.
“I’ve waited for this moment. I’ve worked hard during my rehab, for coming back stronger, so I’m happy to be here.”
