Aston Villa remain interested in Fulham midfielder Harry Wilson despite Leeds United agreeing a four-year deal with him, according to The Times. Leeds manager Daniel Farke is looking forward to working with the Wales international at the Elland Road club. The Whites have agreed to pay Wilson £120,000 per week, but nothing is official yet and Villa are still hopeful of getting him. The Midlands club are offering Champions League football next season after winning the Europa League last term.
The Villans manager Unai Emery is looking to boost his attacking ranks and his club’s financial situation means landing a free signing like Wilson will be a huge deal. The 29-year-old is out of contract this month and his return of 16 league goals and eight assists across the last two seasons appeals to plenty of suitors. Leeds are currently in the driving seat after agreeing terms with the Welshman. However, nothing is guaranteed until he puts pen on paper and Villa are trying to hijack the deal.
