Mercy 9, Assumption 4; Assumption 9, Mercy 0: After dropping the first game of the day to force a winner-take-all final, Maddy Bland tripled to center to score three runs and key a six-run rally in the fourth inning as the Greyhounds (33-26) topped the Mavericks (28-20) and advanced to the NCAA Division II Super Regional for the first time in program history.

Assumption will travel to face St. Thomas Aquinas College on Thursday at a time to be determined.

Bland was 2 for 3 with four RBIs in the nightcap for Assumption, while Bianca Vincequere was 2 for 2 with one RBI, Bella Mara was 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs and Kaitlyn Cahill singled twice and scored twice. Kaelin Waldron struck out two and allowed just two hits in five shutout innings for the Greyhounds.

Jaiden Tonucci singled and tripled for Assumption in the opener.

UMass-Dartmouth 8, WPI 2: The third-seeded Corsairs scored fix in the sixth inning to upend the host Engineers in the championship game of the Worcester Regional to advance in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

WPI finishes a spectacular season 44-5, setting the program record for wins in a season.

Sandy Fairbarn and Riley O'Brien each had three hits for WPI, while Meg Sherwood singled twice and scored and Lucy Latour and Destiny Lum each drove in runs for the Engineers.

WPI stranded 10 runners in the loss. Fairbairn, O'Brien and Emma Nagy were named to the All-Tournament team for the Engineers.
