Arsenal are taking on Real Betis in Dublin. It’s the Gunners’ second preseason match of the campaign. After today, it’s Dortmund on Sunday in the Emirates Cup and Como next Wednesday before the Community Shield on August 16th against Manchester City. The Premier League season starts 16 days from now with newly promoted Coventry City visiting the Emirates.

Arsenal – Kepa, White (C), Mosquera, Hincapie, Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly, Havertz, Nwaneri, Dowman, Tzolis, Gyokeres

Gabriels Magalhaes and Martinelli are both in the squad for Arsenal, having rejoined their teammates towards the end of the Spain trip last week. Martin Ødegaard has returned to training but is currently doing so in London and not with the team. The England World Cup contingent are due back next — Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Ebere Eze, and Noni Madueke. The Spanish group will be the last to report. William Saliba will miss a chunk of time at the start of the season recovering from his back injury.

As always, the preseason is all about getting minutes in the legs, rediscovering your rhythm, and avoiding injury. Don’t take too much away from the games, particularly with many of the first choice players not in the squad.
