Arsenal vs Paris Saint-Germain – Predicted lineup and team news

Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain meet tonight in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Both sides are targeting a first-ever Champions League triumph and arrive in the final four with confidence.

Arsenal thrashed holders Real Madrid 5-1 over two legs in the quarter-finals, while PSG are aiming to eliminate English opposition for the third straight round. The French champions have already beaten Liverpool and Aston Villa in the knockout phase.

It’s the second meeting between the teams in this season’s competition. Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners in North London in the league phase in October. However, plenty has changed in both camps since then.

Arsenal team news

Thomas Partey will miss the first leg through suspension after collecting a needless booking against Real Madrid. The Ghana international’s absence is problematic for Arsenal, who are also missing Jorginho from their midfield options.

Mikel Merino could be moved back into midfield to deputise, leaving Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard to take on the centre-forward position.

Arsenal remain without a recognised forward with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus sidelined, while defensive duo Gabriel Maghalaes and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also absent. Riccardo Calafiori remains doubtful for the Gunners.

Arsenal predicted lineup

Arsenal perdicted XI: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Rice, Merino; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli.
