Arsenal asks about signing Inter Milan attacker


Arsenal are one of the clubs to have shown interest in Francesco Pio Esposito, and they continue to maintain that interest as we approach the final weeks before the new Premier League season begins.


Arsenal already have one of the best attacks in the league and have consistently performed well in all competitions under Mikel Arteta. However, the manager is still looking for better players and is willing to replace members of his current squad with superior options if the opportunity arises.


Arteta is confident that his team already contains some of the best stars in the world, but he wants more. One attacker in Europe who has impressed him in recent times is Esposito, whose performances have attracted Arsenal’s attention.

Arsenal maintain interest in Esposito​

Inter Milan insist that Esposito is not for sale and have secured an agreement to extend his contract. However, Caught Offside says Arsenal have not given up on signing him and remain one of the clubs keen to add the attacker to their squad.


The Gunners are working hard to ensure the team is in top shape, and Esposito is viewed as an upgrade on a player such as Gabriel Jesus, who is likely to leave the Emirates during this transfer window.


Arsenal’s interest in Esposito reflects their desire to continue improving an attack that has already performed strongly under Arteta. Despite the quality available to the manager, he appears determined to add further options as the club prepares for another demanding campaign.

Esposito could strengthen Arsenal’s attack​

Having Esposito and Viktor Gyokeres as attacking options would give Arsenal another strong combination in the forward areas. The Gunners need to win more matches this season if they are to retain the league crown and compete successfully for other trophies.


However, Inter’s stance means Arsenal may face a difficult task if they decide to push ahead with their interest. The Italian club’s insistence that Esposito is not for sale, combined with the agreement to extend his contract, could make negotiations challenging.

Nevertheless, Arsenal continue to monitor the situation. With Arteta seeking further improvements to his squad and Jesus potentially leaving the Emirates, Esposito could remain a player of interest as the club finalise their plans for the new season.
