After 48 years in education and 42 years in the dugout, Arnold head softball coach and Bay County legend Ric Green is retiring. Green, who reached 600 career victories this past season, has a storied tenure at Arnold that includes two Elite Eight runs, a state runner-up finish in 2016 and four county titles.

Green announced that assistant coach Jared Smith will succeed him as head coach of the Lady Marlins. Smith, previously the head coach at Bozeman for 11 seasons, compiled 118 wins and led his teams to four playoff appearances.
