On of Arkansas's tight ends was found dead in his dorm Sunday morning. Arkansas had just won a game against Mississippi State and were headed to LSU this Saturday for one of the biggest games in many years. LSU is unbeaten and Arkansas is 11-1 so a national championship could be on the line. The young man was from Little Rock and a real all American youngster who was living his life's dream. An autopsy showed he died from an undiagnosed enlarged heart. All players are given a complete physical before they are allowed to play in college sports but they do not do a simple echo cardiogram which would have picked this up. Another father who's son had the same thing happen to him while playing basketball is calling for a mandatory echo for all athletes before they can participate in most sports activities. His funeral will be at a catholic church near my house Sunday where thousands are expected to attend. One just never knows when any day may be your last. Make them all count.
