The game will be played on Dec. 31 at noon MST.

Arizona State (8-4) will play ACC champion Duke (8-5) in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, at noon MST on Dec. 31.

The game will be a rematch of the 2014 Sun Bowl, which ASU won, 36-31, under then-coach Todd Graham. Duke beat No. 17 Virginia on Saturday in the ACC Championship game, after going 6-2 in regular-season conference games.

No, I don't think he would be eligible to play.

I think you have to be enrolled and currently taking classes to be eligible to play. ASU is of course currently in between semesters.
