Waldschmidt hitting ahead of Gabby. Over 3 years Roupp is about the same against righties or lefties so probably a good day to give the switch hitting Vargas a day off after going hitless in his last 5.

Dbacks have had some rough at bats against Roupp but still lead 4-2. Gabby with a HR. Tommy Troy another good game. Both Waldschmidt and Carroll having trouble with the wind

Geraldo Perdomo has 5 K’s in his 11 AB’s in this SF series. Really strange considering he had just ONE K in his last 29 AB’s (9 games)

It's always nice to sweep the Giants. Btw, did anyone think Carroll was not happy when Barrosa called him off to catch the last out? Since Barrosa is the centerfielder, he has the right to the ball if he calls for it.

Excellent sweep...starting pitching has been great, hitting has been clutch. Let's go Dbacks! Time for a little American League action against the Mariners.

Second straight sub-par hitting performance, yet they again scratch out the W thanks in large part to yet another strong starter outing. Soroka has been an incredible signing to say the least! Gonna need more hitting over the next 10 games (Seattle, Dodgers, Nationals) as these teams are definitely NOT the meek SF Giants! Can't continue to put so much pressure on our starters to be so perfect...

A team that has strong pitching and does the little things right on a consistent basis will always have a chance to win. After that misplay by Waldy a lot of young guys would have compounded it by not backing up Barrosa. Good stuff from the boys today
