Dude I love the Dbacks. You know how you claim to be a Cardinals fan, but you railed on Kyler, Monti, Gannon, etc? I do the same against Torey, Gallen and Lawlar. Torey can't manage a team out of a wet paper bag....Gallen will just break your heart because his arm has been shot since the ASB 2023 (too many innings and he was mismanaged)....and Lawlar will flash, but at the end of the day he's AAAA. It's nothing new. Keep on keeping on good buddy.

We are one game in and Marte was a poop show, 0-4 with terrible defense.

In the NL West, there are the haves and the have nots. In 2026, I'm afraid the Dbacks will be a "have not". But don't worry, Torey will be the Dbacks manager for years to come - and very probably, there will not be another WS appearance in the rest of his tenure.

4 innings, 4 runs by your starter isn't good enough to win most games. But it was typical of what Gallen has become. He's a guy who will give you a few innings where he looks impressive and then he gets wobbly and all of a sudden the wheels fall off.

The offense also seemed to lapse into their old habit of getting a couple of runs early and then shutting down for the night. The middle of the order going 1 for 10 with just a single certainly didn't help. As a team they could only manage 6 hits and no walks.

We did get a couple of nice defensive plays from Lawler and Arenado, but they only kept the final score from being embarrassing.

Gallen should have never seen the 5th inning. He can't get through any lineup, let alone the Dodgers, twice unscathed. He should honestly be relegated to the pen as a long reliever/spot starter...a guy who can get 9 outs, max!

Again it should have been 1 run. 3 of those runs are on Marte's terrible defense at 2nd.
