The 2026 league year is coming next month. It officially begins on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9.
The Arizona Cardinals have many roster decisions to make before then.
Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.
Next up is tight end Trey McBride.
McBride had the best season on the Cardinals in their disastrous 2025. He set a single-season franchise record with 126 receptions, also setting and NFL single-season record for catches by a tight end. He had 1,239 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
He made the Pro Bowl for the second straight season and was a first-team All-Pro for the first time.
McBride signed a four-year, $76 million contract extension last year. He is under contract through 2029. In 2026, he will make $10.5 million in salary and count $16.1 million against the salary cap.
McBride is one of the faces of the franchise right now. He is their top offensive threat and arguably the best tight end in the NFL. He will be a staple on the team for years to come.
