If we get 2 or 3 turnovers and wind up + in that category we probably win. If we are - in turnovers we probably lose. I know that is like stating the obvious but it is true.

I’m hoping our first two games were not indicative of who we are as a team. We’ve played poorly on both sides of the ball against terrible teams. When we’ve needed to dig deep and come up with a play to either sustain a drive or kill an opponent’s drive, we’ve come up short (save for Campbell’s 4th down sack). I’m still concerned about the Harrison-Murray hookup. Against Panthers, Harrison had 5 targets, 2 catches for 27 yards. Harrison must be a more dominant player in the offense. Same goes for Conner. He had only 34 yards on 11 carries. This was a game where he was expected to run wild, but he didn’t. Is this bad play calling, bad coaching, bad effort, bad executing. We need to play better…a lot better. Hope that happens against 49ers.

There's a reason the only WR Kyler has had pass 1000 yards was Deandre Hopkins. As we saw yesterday with the Ravens he's a player that doesn't rely of timing with his QB, you can just throw the ball up and he will make a play. Every other WR we have had on this team in the past 6+ years has struggled for targets and consistency.

I used to criticise Kliff for a scheme that lacked these routes that could help WR's get open. Much of a WR getting "open" relies on timing because any window they get, will soon be closed if the ball is not on time. But Petzing has shown it's a Kyler issue because he'd had to do the exact same thing.

WR's in our offense are operating with their hands tied behind their back.

I said this yesterday, but I wonder if this dude is a terrible practice player because every time he’s in game, I don’t remember him ever being a liability. It’s strange.
Honestly, when he came in yesterday I think I finally figured it out...he looks noticably smaller than the other dudes starting...and maybe he doesn't fit the long-term typical mould of who they want. He might not have the size to play the position physically enough for the coaches, but can still come in and make a few plays when needed.

If this is the case then what was the point of drafting him if he didn’t fit their profile?

he played really well as a rook...but fell in the dog house. I had speculated a couple times last season if maybe it wasnt an attitude/culture thing with him. Because as you say he always seems to perform well when he gets on the field.

Hope.
Last year I the Rams lost their first 2 games including a blowout lost to us. They barely beat the 49ers and then lost to the Bears. That’s a 1-3 start while looking terrible.
We can only hope the team evolves and gets better as the season goes on.

This take is BS. This pass is supposed to be over Marv's shoulder but it's underthrown. He has to turn back, with a defender in his face, and while moving away from the ball and jump and high point it? ****. He's not a wizard.

Disagree 1 million percent.. that’s a ball he needs to go up and get

How the hell is he supposed to be running one direction, see the ball is falling short while looking back for it, turn mid stride while still moving away from the ball, and then get a base and leverage to jump?

Not only jump, but jump about 3 yards in the opposite direction he's moving? Because by the time the ball arrives at him it's already in his belly, so to high point it he'd have to teleport 3-4 yards closer to the QB.

And all of that in about half a second.

Try it, let me know how you get on.

behind enemy lines

Thanks. They don't sound very happy with their 2-0 start either.

Looks like whoever wins the Cards-Niners game will be in first place alone in the NFC West. Unless the Rams upset the Eagles in Philly.

Sticks his nose in there on run support too. He's fearless!
