The Arizona Cardinals are retaining another of their defensive assistants. According to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz, they are retaining Matt Feeney, who was their outside linebackers coach last year.

Feeney was hired last year, replacing Rob Rodriguez. Josh Sweat had a great year, logging a career-high 12 sacks in his first season with the Cardinals.

Prior to getting hired by the Cardinals, he spent three seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, two seasons as defensive quality control coach and one as assistant defensive backs coach. Prior to that, he was a college defensive coordinator at Akron.

He joins linebackers coach Cristian Garcia as defensive assistants being retained under Nick Rallis, who was retained as defensive coordinator by new head coach Mike LaFleur.
