The 2026 league year is coming up very soon. It officially begins at 1 p.m. Arizona time on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9 at 9 a.m. Arizona time.

The Arizona Cardinals have several roster decisions to make before then.

Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.

Next up is outside linebacker Elliott Brown.

Elliott Brown 2025 season

Brown was in training camp with the Cardinals after playing the previous two seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Edmonton Elks. Waived on Aug. 26, he was signed to the practice squad the following day, was released on Sept. 17 and re-signed six days later for the remainder of the season on the practice squad. He played in no games and was signed after the season ended on Jan. 5.

Elliott Brown contract status

Brown’s salary and cap charge will be $885,000 in 2026 if he is able to make the roster.

Elliott Brown offseason outlook

The Cardinals saw something in Brown that kept him on the practice squad for virtually all of the season and then brought him back for the 2026 offseason. There is ability, but depending on what other moves are made in the group, he will be a longshot to earn a spot on the 53-man roster.
