The 2026 league year is coming next month. It officially begins on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9.
The Arizona Cardinals have many roster decisions to make before then.
Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.
Next up is offensive lineman Hayden Conner.
Conner was drafted in sixth round in 2025 out of Texas. He showed promise in training camp but suffered a knee injury in the preseason, and he started the season on injured reserve. He was activated late in the season and appeared in five games, playing 29 snaps on offense and 14 on special teams.
Conner enters Year 2 of his four-year rookie deal. He is scheduled to make $1.005 million in 2026 and will count $1.05 million against the salary cap.
As a second-year player, he should be with the team all offseason and through training camp. He has the benefit of having the same position coach as last season even with a new head coach and offensive staff, but he will have to compete to stay on the roster this year.
