nothing's happened for 3 days - there's nothing to write about but i know k9 is counting on me so let's talk about trading brissett

there's a good number of teams in need of a backup qb - some in actual contention - all would love jacoby's contract because honestly that's what brissett is - a now glorified backup

the stats were hella nice but didn't translate to wins - he led the league in passing lol but that's partly because we weren't running

we're more than willing to give him another year to prove he has actually ascended to the top shelf - and i think everyone can agree a pay raise is in order if he's starting this year

but if that's not good enough for jacoby then hey - thanks for everything and best of luck being a backup qb at ______

I'm a little confused by all the posts that switch directions as fast as the wind.
First, it was fire everybody and if it was 150 years ago Bidwill would have been lynched for the team he put on the field.
Now, we want to throw a rookie out there to see if we have a QB or if he goes 3-14, oh well, we'll just start over again next year.
We've just watched 3 yrs of a rebuild and now we should settle for another 3? Because if we do draft another QB next year it will take a year or two before he settles in and the game slows down for him.
If we drop JB, we're going rebuild again. If Bidwill and JB make nice, we're going to give it the best we got...which may not be enough anyway.

I don’t think this aligns with how things currently work with rookie QBs, especially after a prolonged period where you supposedly have been building the roster.

Yeah, Cam Ward went 3-14, but two years ago rookie Jayden Daniels advanced the Commies to the NFC Championship game and Bo Nix(!!!!) has been to the playoffs twice and nearly joined the Broncos in the AFC Championship game.

Long way to say I’m not really going to abide a one-year rebuild much less a three-year one.

If Jacoby is the best QB on the roster, and he is, you owe it to the team to start the year with him. Otherwise, you'll lose the team game 1. The Cards didn't win but he put up some good passing numbers and made Mike Wilson relevant.
