The Arizona Cardinals were back on the field on Tuesday for their second-to-last practice of OTAs (organized team activities) before mandatory minicamp. In this practice, media members were present and could observe who was present, who was working on the side and who was not present.

Still not at OTAs

Based on multiple reporters, these three players continued to be absent.

  • QB Jacoby Brissett
  • OLB Josh Sweat
  • DL Walter Nolen Jr.

Nolen is still recovering from a knee injury he suffered late last season. Brissett continues to be be absent while in a contract dispute with the team, while Sweat's absence isn't known. It is the voluntary part of the offseason, but there are rumors of trade talks, so we will know more once minicamp starts next week.

Back at practice

Tackle Paris Johnson, who was absent last week when reporters watched practice, was back on the field on Tuesday.

Defensive lineman L.J. Collier was also back.

New absence

Cornerback Max Melton was not present on Tuesday. We don't know if it was an injury or a day off he chose to take for personal reasons.

Working on the side

These players, all recovering from injuries, were seen doing work on the side or just in street clothes:

  • RB James Conner
  • RB Trey Benson
  • TE Tip Reiman
  • CB Garrett Williams

The Cardinals will hold mandatory minicamp next week from June 8-10.
